Rochdale-based mobile surveillance supplier WCCTV has been named as the overall winner of the 10 Ones to Watch in The Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100.

The company, which specialises in providing redeployable CCTV, electronic site security systems, body worn cameras and time lapse video services, was listed as a One to Watch in the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track in April and has now been confirmed as the overall winner in the category.

Published annually, the Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 recognises Britain’s private companies with the fastest growing profits. This year’s list also gives specific recognition to companies who have demonstrated resilience during the coronavirus pandemic.

WCCTV’s CEO David Gilbertson said: “Being named a One to Watch was a huge achievement for everyone at WCCTV, especially given the circumstances of the past year, but to have been recognised as the overall category winner is just incredible.

“It is a reflection of the hard work of our loyal and committed workforce, and of our ethos of delivering innovative customer-focused products, backed by best-in-class support services.”

Celebrating its 20th year in business in 2021, WCCTV recently secured a £30m investment from mid-market private equity house LDC for a minority stake to accelerate the company’s ambitious domestic and international growth plans.

Gilbertson continued:  “With the backing from LDC, we have an opportunity to scale at pace, further enhance our product range and extend our footprint both in the UK and overseas, which befits our status as the company to watch in 2021.”

As part of these growth plans, WCCTV has this month opened a fourth UK office in Newport to join the existing ones in Rochdale, Luton and Edinburgh, as well as its US office in Texas.

The company currently employs over 125 people and has more than 20 live vacancies across all of its global offices.
