Insulation distributor Tyne Insulation has taken possession of a new 31,000 sq ft distribution centre at Crown Business Park in Rochdale. The company moved into its new purpose-built premises in June 2019.
Construction of the design and build project at Unit 3 of Crown Business Park was led by Nelson-based Barnfield Construction, one of the North West’s leading contractors, developers and investors.
Tyne Insulation has moved to Crown Business Park from its current premises in Walkden near Bolton, relocating 13 jobs in the process. In addition, three new jobs will be created as a result of the move. The company has invested £3 million in the new building.
Tyne Insulation managing director Dave McKenna said: “We’re delighted to be moving into this purpose built building at Crown Business Park, which is just minutes from the motorway network and also right at the heart of the Greater Manchester region, making it perfectly located for a distribution business like ours. The building perfectly suits the needs of our growing business.”
Tracy Clavell-Bate, head of development at Barnfield Construction, said: “We have worked closely with the client - Tyne Insulation – and the Rochdale Development Agency (RDA) to create an impressive new unit at Crown Business Park, and a building that will serve the needs of a growing business. We were delighted to be able to hand the unit over to Tyne on time and on budget.”
Tyne Insulation Supplies Ltd was founded in 1989 and is a leading independent stockist of insulation materials and associated products.
Crown Business Park - a joint venture between Barnfield Construction and Capital & Centric - is located minutes from Junction 20 of the M62, giving businesses easy access to the cities of Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool, Manchester Airport and the port of Liverpool. The agent on the scheme is Nolan Redshaw.
