CEAMS

The Centre of Expertise in Advanced Materials and Sustainability (CEAMS) is a collaboration between key partners to help and support businesses to commercialise sustainable materials and/or develop an innovative idea to make the materials used sustainable.

This nationally significant initiative is accelerating the development and commercialisation of advanced sustainable materials by fostering connections between businesses, universities, and research institutes.

A bridge between research and scale up

CEAMS

The programme connects academic research expertise with commercial application and business scale-up, helping companies solve challenges, develop new processes, adopt innovative materials, and repurpose existing ones.

By enabling businesses to overcome obstacles, innovate processes, and integrate sustainable materials, CEAMS helps companies enhance product efficiency and competitiveness driving growth, increasing turnover, and creating jobs.

CEAMS simplifies access to world-class expertise, fast-tracking innovation and fostering a dynamic community of advanced sustainable materials businesses.

Partnership Working

Led by a consortium of expert partners, the project will accelerate the delivery of a high technology cluster through the creation of connections between companies, local universities and research institutes.

The CEAMS Consortium works in partnership with Rochdale Development Agency, CPI, Henry Royce Institute, HMV Catapult, Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), National Composites Centre (NCC), National Physical Laboratory (NPL), and University of Manchester.

Supporting Advanced Manufacturing

This collaborative programme will support regional growth in the Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Materials and Advanced Materials sectors in Greater Manchester area and will benefit industry across the whole of the UK.
