Event Type: Business
Social value is no longer optional - it’s a key factor in winning contracts, particularly in the public sector.
This informal workshop, delivered by Kevin Mullin - social value manager at First Bus in Rochdale, will give practical examples of social value and help you identify what you already do, or could do, and how to record it.
The session will also look at:
- Demystifying social value – what it means and why it matters now
- Practical, proportionate approaches – simple ways to evidence impact without complex systems
- Where SMEs already add value – and how you can build on it
- Procurement trends – why social value is increasingly decisive in bids
- Hands-on exercise – identify your current social value and how to present it effectively
- Optional follow-up – creating a one-page Social Value Statement.
There will be the opportunity to ask questions throughout in what we envisage will be an enjoyable and interactive workshop. Pre-booking is essential as places are limited. Please register here https://socialvalueforsmes.eventbrite.co.uk
