Powersave, a designer, supplier and installer of energy efficient LED lighting solutions, has achieved the ISO 9001 standard with support from low carbon business experts at GC Business Growth Hub.
The Rochdale company has experienced significant growth over the last 12 months after scaling up operations to deliver several large retrofit lighting projects in shopping centres across the UK.
The firm began receiving support from GC Business Growth Hub’s green tech and services team in 2017 and joined its Low Carbon Network - an online service for companies in the sector in Greater Manchester.
‘Committed to clients and environment’
Through the Network, Powersave receives regular notifications of business opportunities for LED lighting and has received positive feedback and several orders from local companies as a result.
“We are committed to protecting the environment and helping our clients reduce their business’ carbon emissions through our effective energy efficient LED lighting solutions”, said Phil Hargreaves, sales director at Powersave. “Our understanding of clients’ consumption patterns, present and future needs allows us to recommend the very best solution, eradicate unnecessary over-consumption and carbon emissions, and make a direct, positive impact on climate change.”
More recently, additional support from the Hub helped Powersave to achieve certification to the internationally-recognised ISO 9001:2015 standard. As well as streamlining procedures, bringing consistency to service delivery, improving efficiency and enhancing the status of the company, ISO 9001 will give Powersave a competitive advantage in bidding for work.
“ISO 9001 certification demonstrates Powersave’s commitment to customer service and quality in delivery and keeping their data, staff and premises secure and operating in a safe environment”, said Dan O’Connell, green tech advisor at GC Business Growth Hub.
Phil Hargreaves added: “Having now earned the right to display the coveted British Assessment Bureau quality shield and ISO 9001 logo gives us much more confidence in bidding for the larger, post-£1 million contracts.”
